Without a doubt, the fundraiser hosted recently by Hacienda Palo Maria was the most glamorous event of the season. Over 200 guests made it an outstanding success that raised much needed monies for two charities of Puerto Vallarta and Bahia de Banderas.
Hacienda Palo Maria is a gorgeous house on the beach a few miles south of Puerto Vallarta, and it boasts an impressive view of the town across the bay, and front row seats to marvelous sunsets.
Everyone in the international community of Puerto Vallarta attended the event; certainly one not to be missed.
Open bar and a fabulous four-course gourmet dinner were enjoyed by all in attendance, in a marvelous evening filled with light and color.
Entertainment was provided by a lineup of top artists from Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara.
“Mariachi Joya de Mexico,” “Orpheus,” an extraordinary duo of tenor and violinist from Guadalajara; ballad singer Sergio “Checko” Carillo, with keyboard accompanist Rafael Alonso, also from Guadalajara; and the Cuban band “Los Guaracheros.” Guests were treated to a surprise appearance by the famous Vicki Carr, who was a guest of host Phil Stewart at the party. There was also a show with animal costumed dancers and fire dancers; and an amazing display of fireworks.
PEACE and SPCA of PV equally benefited from the event’s proceeds.
