Jalisco Offers Free Tours

1.2 millions invested in 120 tours to 40 destinations in the state. The initiative benefits over 5,000 people

To the end of encouraging travelers, the State Tourism Secretariat carries out an emergency program under the coordination of its Social Tourism Department.
maleThe program offers free tourist tours that will be available fro July 10 to August 20, and it aims at promoting important tourist spots in the state among workers, students, retired persons and families living in the state.
According to information released by the Jalisco Tourism Secretariat, to implement these tours 1.2 million pesos have been earmarked, which will allow 40 destinations from all eleven tourist regions in the state to be visited. Some of the tours will include an overnight  stay, and some will be only hours long.
male nocheThe program includes 120 tours, fifty-two of them overnight and 68 one-day trips. These tours will benefit approximately 5,000 people.
About the tours’ logistics, there will a special bus to offer the tour to persons with hearing disabilities, and will be carried out through the Jalisco DIF, which will contribute two interpreters to pass on tourist information.
Free tours include transportation, guided tour and time for shopping and eating. In the case of the overnight tours, lodging is also included.
These actions are part of the holiday offerings from the state to its inhabitants, and the result of the “Jalisco is Tourism for All” regional fair organized by the State Tourism Secretariat through the Regional Development Department, headed by Director Ramón Garcia Velazco, and the Tourist Promotion and Regional Development departmente headed by Francisco Salas Montiel.
