2009 Marriott Expo Events

The Marriott Expo Events took place last weekend at the convention rooms of the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa.
Roman Azuara, from Marriott’s Public Relations and Marketing Department, delivered a welcome speech and presented the first activity of the Expo, a performance by VallartaDance Ballet, who danced an Arab dance to a contemporary track.
Beside the impressive creativity displayed in every stand at the expo, there were two fashion shows with the latest trends in beach wear, night gowns, wedding dresses, and men’s wear.
The first fashion show, following the opening of the exposition, was presented by Liverpool, with the best of the fashion for the season. Also a number of wedding dresses creation of local designer Maria Ana Paredes appeared on the runway.
After each fashion show, CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa offered all in attendance a wine tasting and delicious canapés. The event also featured guest speakers who talked about health and wellbeing, nutrition with tips and advice from CasaMagna Marriott’s professional nutritionist, personal finance and diamond selection.
Expo Events was a very interesting show, which underlies the growing importance the wedding, event and convention segment in the local tourist market, which has created an important momentum involving professionals in the different aspects regarding the organization of an event.
Oustanding was the participation of Event Connection Plaza, which gathers all the necessary for the organization of an event, in one place. We said hello to our friend Maripepa Gonzalez, from Florart, part of Event Connection Plaza. We also greeted Maru Gonzalez from Cielito Lindo Collections. Rocco Troyani also set an impressive stand with the best his company has to offer. We were glad to say hi to our friends from the Flower Gallery as well.
The host hotel also set up two stands presenting its services for events, and as a very special gesture, personnel from the Ohtli Spa offered complimentary back massages.
