Seven Sins, a Play, Announced

At a press conference held last Wednesday, July 22 at the Outback Steakhouse restaurant, the announcement was made of a new play within the framework of the “Let’s Go to the Theater” program of the City’s Art and Culture Department. The play opened on Thursday 23, and it will be on through the month of July on different stages in town.
ruedaThe press conference was presided over by Cristian Zatamarain, director of the theater group O TEART, and members of the cast. They were joined by the restaurant’s Manager of Public Relations Sujey Cross.
O TEART  is a theater group working within the principles of an almost extinct discipline, called Biomechanics, They are devoted to creating theater that reaches out to the spectator, both rationally and sensitively, and makes it part of the staging in a way that is out of the ordinary.
It is a group that seeks to promote and to bring back Biomechanics, though theater that is different, active, and with a well-defined vision of art; to consolidate the first Biomechanics Theater Company in Jalisco.
Among the group’s objectives are to force the audience to reflection through a form of theater that exalts theatricality, making the spectator aware of the representation, in a participative, smart way, and to cause a social impact in the life of the human being.
obraSeven Sins, the play being announced at the press conference, is a performance-like play based on the seven capital sins, lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride, from a non judgmental point of view that only shows in a bodily active form, and to carefully chosen music, to the end of taking the audience to a different experience.
The play will be on every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Cecatur Auditorium and Mondays, at 7:00 p.m. at the Cuale Cultural Center. The group also offers an advance on the play on Fridays at 7:00 p.m at the Aquiles Serdan Amphitheater (The Arches).
