Riviera Nayarit Expo Nautical Opening Cocktail
Last Friday, August 14, at the Taikai Sky Bar, the opening cocktail of the Expo Nautical 2009 took place with the attendance of Nayarit Governor Ney Gonzalez.
The Expo Nautical is an event that brings together distributors of recreational marine vessels from renowned international brand names.
The aim of the exhibition is to present the audiences with the latest, most technologically advanced recreational boats and yachts, as well as the excellent opportunities available to those interested in acquiring a sailboat, a fishing boat, a speed boat or a luxurious yacht.
During the cocktail, Marina Riviera Nayarit Director Fernando Gonzalez expressed his satisfaction for positioning the marina as the entryway to the destination. He also said thank you to all organizers, sponsors and government officials who have supported the event, thus contributing to its success and to placing Marina Riviera Nayarit and the destination Riviera Nayarit in the spotlight.
Brunswick Chairman for Latin America Bill Gress, one of the driving forces behind the Expo Nautical, shared his satisfaction for this event, and the new allies his company has found in Riviera Nayarit.
Governor Ney Gonzalez took the floor to emphasize that Riviera Nayarit is an important destination, and is continuously growing in many aspects beyond tourism. He commented that his government supports education, and as the growing number of hotels demand well trained employees, the Technological University of Bahia de Banderas is educating the new generations of professionals. “Eight out of ten graduates already have a job when they graduate” Governor Gonzalez said. He congratulated the organizers and sponsors of the Expo Nautical on a successful event, and reiterated his willingness to support future events.
The evening went on in a lively mood, there was a contemporary and Arabic dance show and guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious canapés prepared in the kitchen of the marina’s IKUAI restaurant.
