Emerging Artists of Jalisco, Show Inauguration at Galeria Vertice

Galeria Vertice de Puerto Vallarta scored a great hit by inaugurating an exhibition with the works of emerging artists of Jalisco last week.
entradaThe whole gallery dressed up for the occasion and displayed high quality art. The magnificent curation work done by gallery owners Christopher Botrill and Alfredo Vital was evident and revealed the existence of outstanding talent among emerging artists in the state.
The exhibition opening for the general public took place on Friday, June 12, but the day before there was a vernissage for the members of Coparmex, which also had a great turnout.
To young artists, this is a highly valued opportunity that opens the doors of top-level galleries for them, doors on which some of them had been knocking for years, to no avail.
interiorFor art lovers, on the other hand, Galeria Vertice’s exhibition gives them the opportunity to access quality art works that in time can become good investments, as the artist gains prestige.
An interesting aspect of the emerging artists’ exhibition is the number of female artists included in it. Women in Mexico are progressing towards equity of gender and gaining access to spaces where their presence used to be restricted or limited. We found works of Ana Paula Castillo, Ana Cook, Claudia Perenzales, Laura Ortiz, Marita Terríquez, Olivia González Terrazas and Puerto Vallarta artists Ireri Topete y Yesika Félix.
This leads us to comment that Galeria Vertice has always been all in to promote local art, both from the standpoint of providing spaces for local artists, and promoting art appreciation and art collecting among the Puerto Vallarta audiences.
la malaguaOutstanding local artists Sergio Martínez and Fernando Sánchez, along with the aforementioned Ireri and Yesika, heeded the call of Galeria Vertice and are participating in the exhibition side by side with the works of Guadalajara artists.
In the show, the painting titled “This is the day of love” by young Guadalajara-based Fernando Cisneros, stands out. It follows the footsteps of pop art with a combination of silk-screening and acrylic techniques, and a focus on fashion.
Also outstanding for its immaculate execution is the painting “Clara”, by Juan Carlos Navarro.
Besides the already-mentioned artists, participating in the exhibition are Alessandro Mejía, Antonio Martínez, Balo Pulido, Jonathan Lameda, Leo Albizo, Lewis Kant, Pavlov and Righter, all residents of the state of Jalisco.
The exhibition Emerging Artists of Jalisco continues in Galeria Vertice throughout June and can be viewed during regular gallery hours on 179 Ignacio L. Vallarta St., Zona Romántica, Tel. 222 9415. www.galeriaverticepv.com
