Riviera Nayarit to Host 70 Tour Operators
The destination to be the venue for the 2010 Gala Vallarta, held in coordination with Puerto Vallarta.

Gala Vallarta is just around the corner, and this year it is Riviera Nayarit’s honor to be the venue for the most important event in the region’s tourist industry, which is held together with Puerto Vallarta. An agenda has been prepared that allows not only for negotiations to be held, but for tour operators to get acquainted first hand with the latest in the destination.
From March 3 to 5, 70 registered wholesaler agencies from Mexico, United States and Canada will hold approximately two thousand business appointments with hotels and services providers in both destinations.
Paradise Village Resort and Spa in Nuevo Vallarta will be the venue for the Business Center and to this end 72 suites will be installed, one for each participating tour operator, one for both Convention and Visitor Bureaus and one more for the Mexico Council for Tourist Promotion (CPTM).
Each year the seat of the event alternates between both destinations. This will be the 18th edition and it corresponds to Riviera Nayarit to be the host, a closing event has been prepared at Marival Residences, one of the novelties of the hotel industry that Riviera Nayarit has to offer, which will offer a novelty tour operators will experience first hand.
Convention and Visitors Bureau director Marc Murphy said that the strong presence of the destination on an international scale has earned it important recognitions early 2010, it is possible thanks to the vision and decisive support State Governor Ney Gonzalez has given Tourism as driving force of development.
“We expect great results from Gala Vallarta with favorable negotiations to the destination in view of the upcoming season. In Riviera Nayarit we are proud to be hosts this year, because we can announce we have been selected one of the top five destinations to own a second home and one of the top ten must visit destinations this year by important specialized publications”, he said.
