Eureka Returns to Puerto Vallarta with “Short Touring”
The company presents a new artistic proposal for destination promotion
Eureka, the scenic arts company directed by Adriana Millan and Alberto Sosa, reports ready for a tourist-film event in collaboration with the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board, Cinemark, Tropicana Hotel and other sponsors to be announced.
Lights, Camera, Action! These words have been pronounced lots of times in Puerto Vallarta, and that is because this paradisiacal place offers unmatchable natural settings to be put on film. Now is the time for stories of the local people to be told in a course of on-location short film.
The idea is to have local residents get a basic knowledge of the film language and to apply it to benefit the local economy, because the subject theme would be Puerto Vallarta. It is basically a 
course on developing creativity and artistic expression, since the focus is to tell a story with a camera. Technical resources are helpful, but the important is how they are used. The aim is to have short films made to be shown in Cinemark next August and September. A national film and TV personality will judge the works to promote the destination in Los Angeles in March, 2010.
The course is aimed at people 15 years and older, but space is limited. The course starts September 26 and registration costs 1,800 pesos.
Registrations are open. Part of the proceeds will fund future projects in Puerto Vallarta and abroad.

Organizers see this as an opportunity to display the image of Vallarta, the businesses, traditions and costumes. They reiterate the invitation to take a camera and shoot. Yours can be the short film that takes the image of Vallarta around to promote the city.
