Second Regional Cultural Fest, a Success

Different municipalities of the state of Jalisco participated

For the second time and with an excellent response from residents and visitors the North Coast-South Coast Regional Cultural Fest organized by the Jalisco Culture Secretariat took place in town.
todosThe cultural festival coincided with the first Meeting of Culture Directors and Council Members of the Jalisco municipalities, with 98 municipalities in attendance. The assembly was presided over by Culture Secretary Jesús Alejandro Cravioto and Conaculta Representative Leonel Maciel. Some mayors and notable personalities from the cultural scene in other states participated in the event as well.
During the cultural encounter, the regions of Casimiro Castillo, La Huerta, Villa Purificación, Cuautitlán, Cihuatlán, Cabo Corrientes, Tomatlán, Autlán de Navarro, Atotonilco y Puerto Vallarta came together in this grand festival, in which eight folkloric groups participated with different dances before the audience gathered at the Los Arcos Amphitheater.  
bandaAs part of the fest’s activities, the bandstand at the Main Plaza hosted the presentation of several music workshops, where young musicians played melodies at different instruments. A popular music band had everyone get up and dance.
The Tomatlan Youth Symphony Band surprised the audience with a vast and varied repertoire. A children’s group theater staged a comedy play on the Aquiles Serdan Amphitheater, as well as contemporary dance choreography that pleased all in attendance.
Puerto Vallarta is a tourist destination with a cultural vocation, and events like these are proof of it.
