Casa Hogar Maximo Cornejo held a fundraiser dinner last week at the Outback Steakhouse; with great success. It was a complete sold-out.
A whole section of the restaurant was reserved for the event, and guests started arriving early. Soon every table was taken, with guests who were happy to support such noble cause. Many friendly faces could be seen at the event.
Casa Hogar President Alejandra Cornejo hosted the event and graciously welcomed every guest arriving at the function. Outback Public Relations Manager Sujey Cross was also there making sure guests were well looked-after.
All in attendance enjoyed a fabulous dinner with choices from the famous Outback menu, as well as refreshments and beer.
Also, as part of the attractions that evening, and providing other ways to support the orphanage, there were raffles and a silent auction. Everyone was excited as the winning numbers were called after dinner. Very exciting items were raffled, among them tours, dinner certificates and spa services. Alejandra Cornejo and Rita Millan conducted the raffle with the help of a little girl, who drew the winning tickets. The main item in the silent auction was a photo session by photographer David Díaz.
After the raffle, Alejandra Cornejo took the floor to thank everyone for their support, and especially to the Outback Steakhouse restaurant, for its invaluable labor for the noble causes of the Puerto Vallarta community, and its support to the orphanage on making the event possible.
Casa Hogar children were there to present guests with drawings they made especially for the occasion, along with a thank you note from Casa Hogar Maximo Cornejo. Mine, a gorgeous drawing of heart-shaped balloons filling the sky, by little Luisa, is now on display on my fridge.
