On Sunday, February 28, after the captains meeting and a flag hoisting protocol, the Mexorc craft took to sea for the first regatta. President Felipe Calderon, in the region for the opening of a desalination plant in the Litibú Integrally Planned Development, made the starting signal.
Visitors and Convention Bureau Director Marc Murphy congratulated the organizers and said events like these are great attractions that contribute to promote the destination and to revert the effects of the world crisis that affected occupancy rates during 2009 and early 2010. www.ExtravaganzaNautica.mx
