Cultural Evenings at the Cuale, a Big Hit

At seven p.m. at the Cuale Cultural Center deck, the appeareance of Professor Nestor Villaseñor kicked off the series of cultural events put on by the Arts and Culture Department. He rendered an extensive repertoire of Latin American folkloric music on different instruments.Professor Nestor Villaseñor teaches the Latin American Musica Workshop in the Cuale Cultural Center, and his interpretations delighted the audience for over half-an-hour. He closed his performance with his version of La Bikina, a well-known Mexican song.
Maestra Rosa Calleja, teacher at the Flamenco Dance workshop, gave a great performance of the dances from Andalucia, Spain. Three changes of costume and six choreographies made up Rosa María’s performance to an audience of over 100. (More...)
