A Very Special Event of Art and Design at Los Altos Villas
Make sure to reserve Saturday, January 9 from 10 am to 6 pm for a very special event of art and design with a backdrop of amazing views of Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.

Recently, the Fire Department of Puerto Vallarta received an important donation of materials, tools, specialized technical equipment, as well as protective gear, to be used in rescue tasks when required.
Fire Chief Alfredo Rivas Hernández appeared quite excited about the donation, the third from the Fire Department of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in collaboration with the organization Angels for Mexico, chaired by Christina Callaghan.
He explained the donation consists basically of structural equipment required by Puerto Vallarta firefighters to better carry out their duties while minimizing risk, such as smoke extractors, structural helmets and medical equipment such as first aid kits and pre hospital treatment gear; specialized tools for cooling and separating materials, cutter, hoses, stretchers, fireproof gear including pants, jackets and miscellaneous items.
Rivas Hernandez mentioned that the donation also includes special gear such as breathing and a thermal camera whose characteristics allow vision through smoke to locate the ignition point to better fight a fire and carry out rescue tasks.
Likewise, he explained that this sophisticated gear allows the identification of persons that can be rescued from a fire. “It is quite advanced technology we now enjoy thanks to the great support from Angels for Mexico and our firefighter brothers from Calgary.”
The fire chief said the donation is worth an estimated 1.5 million pesos.
