Successful Exhibition by Bue the Warrior at De Santos
At De Santos, an art exhibition and live painting demonstration by Bue the Warrior took place on the night of Friday, October 23.
This event marks the second visit Bue pays to Puerto Vallarta, where he is been made known for the murals with which he has filled some walls in the center of town.
Bue The Warrior, as he calls himself, is a young Belgian artist from a lineage of artists. His grandfather Edward de Rop, and his father Erik de Rop are well known cartoonists and illustrators.
Bue started drawing as a child, when he used to pick up sketches his father discarded, and draw on top of his father’s drawings. Today, Bue paints murals as well as paintings on canvas and is also a graphic designer whose work finds a wide range of applications, from clothing and shoes to art exhibitions and mobile art, as proved by an automobile he painted the night of the exhibition.
Bue’s career got him moving constantly. He travels to different countries in several continents to attend exhibitions and to work in different projects. His stay in Puerto Vallarta was brief, since he had to keep appointments in Cholula, Puebla, and Mexico City.
Muralism, his gateway to the world’s art scene, is his greatest passion, “because it is free and makes a lot of people happy” he told us on the night of the exhibition. He also commented on his desire to live in Mexico, probably Mexico City, and travel to every corner of the country.
Bue’s exhibition was a complete sold out.
