Upcoming events like the Tianguis Turistico, organized jointly with Riviera Nayarit; and the World Economic Forum, were discussed.

It has become traditional that such organizations as the Tourism Board and the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Puerto Vallarta host a breakfast party/press conference at the end of the year, to share their achievements and to reinforce the bonds of friendship and collaboration with the local media.
On Wednesday, December 21, at the Alejandra Ballroom of the Velas Vallarta Hotel, this year’s event took place.
The press conference was presided over by Convention and Visitors Bureau President Luis Angarita, Tourism Board President Miguel Andres Hernandez Arteaga, Tourism Board Director Guillermo Ohem, Advertising Manager Sandra Muñoz and Public Relations Coordinator Sara Sánchez.
At breakfast, Guillermo Ohem presented the work done by the institution as to its mandate of promoting this tourist destination in the traditional markets, and to seek new markets in addition to those. The Board’s efforts reflect as figures that surpass those of pre-2009 years.
Media was briefed as to the numerous tourist events in which the Board and the Bureau participated through the year, like international fairs and trade shows in United States, Canada, Latin America and Europe, thus giving the destination a projection that is suitable to its world class stature.
The presidents of the host institutions addressed the audience to affirm the bonds of friendship and collaboration that have always existed between them and the local media, both printed and electronic.
After their speeches, there was an impromptu Q&A session, which gradually turned into an open, friendly dialogue, where upcoming events like the Tianguis Turistico, organized jointly with Riviera Nayarit; and the World Economic Forum.
