Seattle Basketball Team Tours Puerto Vallarta

Cloud 9 All Stars defeated Puerto Vallarta Team

Last Friday, December 19, the amateur Puerto Vallarta Basketball Team faced Cloud 9 All Star in a friendly game that was nonetheless tough and exciting.
Seattle Washington Cloud 9 is a team of college students from Washington University who share a passion for the game and attend the same church back home.
Craig Christenson, Kevin Burgens, Jordan Collier, Nick Smith, Garrett Myers, Mike Dean, Emerson Fulton, Zach Hunter and Joey Brister make up a dynamic team who came to Puerto Vallarta on a trip organized and conducted by Ignite International President Judy Fox.
As they love to play, they sought to arrange matches with local teams, and they put together a busy schedule. They faced several teams in Puerto Vallarta and gave Basketball clinics to the kids from the School of Champions, as well as both men and women from local prisons. 
Probably their most challenging match came Friday Night as they played against the Puerto Vallarta amateur team. Cloud Nine took an early ten-point lead, and got every rebound on both ends of the court.
During the third quarter, however, they lost grip of the strategy, and by the beginning of the final quarter they were trailing by 10 points.
It did not take long for them to figure out what the problem was, and pretty soon, by recovering the ball and running fast counter-attacks, they turned the score around and won 74 to 64.
Ignite International is an amateur sports organization that uses the power of influence that is unique to the universal language of athletic competition as a tool to attract people with whom we can share the love of God. The organization takes athletes, teams and coaches on many short-term mission trips, and has had a tremendous impact on quite a few nations, such as Mexico, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, South Africa, and Russia, among others. 
Cloud 9 all star took Saturday off and took the canopy tour, and later enjoyed dining out in a fine Puerto Vallarta restaurant.
They loved Puerto Vallarta and are really looking forward to a new trip here.
